The most wonderful time of the year!

No, I am not talking about Christmas, I am talking about fall! I love the fall, it is definitely my favorite season. In my opinion, it is the best time to be in Ohio. I wanted to document some of the fun things that happen in the fall!!

First, is the circleville pumpkin show! This is a big deal, there are a TON of people there, all to celebrate the large, round, orange, gourd known as the pumpkin. There is pumpkin everything...pumpkin cookies, pumpkin ice-cream, pumpkin brownies, pumpkin chili, pumpkin hamburgers, pumpkin pizza, and the list could keep going. There is also the world's largest pumpkin pie. It is 14ft. in diameter. I tried to get a picture of it, but you can only see a portion.

This is the sign for the 14ft. pumpkin

This is a piece of the 14 ft. pumpkin

We went to my friend Heidi's family's house this weekend out in the country. We shot guns, we played poker, ate pumpkin pie, made friends with a stuffed deer head named Toby...it was all around good fun! Here are some fun pictures from our weekend.

This is Kathy feeding Toby some yummy pumpkin pie!

Sometimes my friends are goofy...Steph and Heidi!

Kristen and I after a yummy pancake breakfast

I shot a gun for the first time ever this weekend... it was fun. Definitely harder than I thought it would be!

Kristen and I took a detour on our way home and went hiking in Cederville (where she went to college), it was sooo beautiful! It love being outside in the fall.

PUMPKIN SHOW!!! First, one of the girls I lived with my junior year in college was runner-up for Little Miss Pumpkin Show one year. Awesome.

Second, I love pumpkin doughnuts.

Third, I miss fall. :(

nice fall pictures, kate!

question (said in typical dwight shrute fashion): what happened to the giant pumpkin pie? at first the idea sounded a little fun ... and then a little gross. brings a whole new meaning to "dig in".

16 more days ... i have no doubt that we will win.

Steve...first of all, awesome Dwight reference ( I ADORE that show). My friend Kristen told me that you can't actually eat the pie. She wasn't positive about this, but I feel like in order to call it the world's largest pumpkin pie, you must actually be able to eat it. I can't wait for the Michigan game, it will be awesome. I think my brother is coming down to watch it with me!
Question: will you be home for thanksgiving?
